Masked men invade WB home

Police are investigating a report
of a break-in to a West Bay home by three armed and masked men late on Thursday
night.

A resident of a home in Sweet Gum
Lane told police he found three men standing in his living room around 11.40pm
on 9 December. All were wearing dark clothes and masks.

Two of the men were armed with
firearms – a shot gun and a revolver – while the third man had a machete, the
man told police.

The robbers demanded money, but
fled empty-handed.

Police said two other occupants in
the house also alleged they were held at gun point but nothing was stolen.

An extensive police search did not
locate the men.

The gunman armed with the revolver
is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, of slim built, and dressed in black shirt
and what seemed to be a shirt covering his face.

Anyone with information about this
is asked to contact West Bay CID on 949-3999 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477.

  1. If we could only arm ourselves; 1: home invasion would hardly exist or 2: bang, dead bad guy(s)removed from the gene pool. Every home should be armed with a short barreled shotgun. No accuracy required.

  2. Is this unusual, crime has been getting worse, but it’s still safer than most places. I’m sure the RCIPS will get the point soon and do what it takes to put a stop to it.
