Rescue at sea

Five people rescued at sea by the
RCIPS marine unit are safely back on their sailboat.

The group was sailing from Columbia
to Cuba when their 40 foot boat ran into rough seas outside of George Town
Harbour.

The four men and one woman abandoned
the boat and were trying to make it to shore in a dinghy when that boat
capsized dumping them all into the ocean.

Marine Unit and officers on board Enforcer
3 responded to calls about the group and rescued the four men from the water,
the woman made it safely to the shore.

Officials say no one was injured or
required medical attention and all five were returned to their sailboat.
