The Bodden Town District Council along with MLA Dwayne Seymour have made a contribution to the Cayman Islands Fire Service Sports Club and Community Project.
The donations will go toward the children’s Christmas party, which will be held on Saturday, 18 December at the Airport Park from 2-6pm for children up to age 12.
The event is free, and food, drinks, rides on the fire trucks and the arrival of Santa will be featured.
Cayman Fire Service thanked Mr. Seymour and the district council in advance for their generous assistance. “The most important things like children’s happiness are worthwhile and usually don’t cost much. The main objective is that the children can come out and enjoy themselves. All children are invited to attend and mingle, particular the children that maybe in need of a little Christmas cheer,” said Fire Service officer Ricardo Carlton.
Mr. Seymour said he was thankful for the part in could play in making a contribution to such a worthwhile.
“The committee pledges to contribute to the efforts of the CIFSSC every year as long as we are in existence. I hope that with our contribution and those of other business owners, this event will continue,” said Mario Rankin of the district council.
