Careers Expo 2011 open for business

One of the ways that the Chamber seeks to bring employers and potential recruits together is through its Careers, Education, Training & Jobs Expo which is going into its 13th year and on average has about 30 exhibiting companies.

It is a unique opportunity to be part of a Chamber quality event that connects you to a diverse range of people hungry for inspiration and opportunity.

This is an excellent way companies can promote their brands and educate people about their industry and available careers.

This year the Chamber has condensed the Expo into a one day event on Friday, 4 February, which will run from 10am until 7pm at the Family Life Centre off Walkers Road.

Businesses already signed-up include The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, KPMG, Walkers, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Island Companies Ltd., the University of Tampa and the Department of Environmental Health.

Chamber CEO, Wil Pineau, says, “The Chamber has always placed a level of high importance on education, training and career advancement for our community, youth and Chamber members. It just makes sense. Even in today’s market where economic growth is low, we still need to focus on our future business development and prepare for better days. Good business development includes having the right people with the right training who can grow with the company bringing knowledge and experience to their industries. Whether the economy is thriving or stagnant it is vital to remain engaged with our community and future and existing workforce.”
