Robert De Niro received the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night in Beverly Hills, California, for a career filled with daring and uniquely believable portrayals of gangsters, mad men and recent roles in comedies.
The Golden Globe Awards are a celebration of the best motion pictures, television shows and mini-series.
The awards are voted on by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of journalists who cover all aspects of the entertainment world.
