The Caledonian Group has announced that it is the biggest
sponsor of the Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium Youth Transitions
Caledonian has agreed to sponsor six children as they
participate in the CIYDC’s Project 365 programme.
The CIYDC is a charitable organisation whose mission is
to inspire and motivate students in both academic endeavours as well as in the
The Project 365 programme offers asset-building, planning
and creative development to support and help children develop their potential.
The initiative targets Year 6 students between the ages
of nine and 11 as they are identified as being the most influential when they
transition into secondary school.
“Project 365 is about giving kids a support network and
providing opportunities for them to build their skill sets and develop
confidence to aspire to reach new heights,” said Nicole Gordon, Caledonian’s
marketing manager. “The programme wholly aligns with Caledonian’s philanthropic
mission of supporting youth development through positive empowerment and we are
elated to start the year off by supporting them.”
The programme will be held on weekly after-school
sessions and participants will take part in homework labs, information
technology zones, reading areas, arts and crafts, sports, dance and
