Nine teams took to the pitch at Camana Bay during the recent Private Schools Association seven-a-side football tournament. Only one would come out victorious.
Cayman Academy claimed their first major football championship in recent memory. The George Town institution beat out Cayman Prep 2-0 in the final match last Thursday.
Cayman Academy would finish ahead of favourites like St. Ignatius (third place) and Cayman International School (fourth place and the host school) who have quite a few players in the national youth leagues.
The final results would see Triple C in fifth and Grace Christian Academy in sixth. Wesleyan Christian Academy and Hope Academy would bring up the rear.
