Green Living Fair planned

The departments of Tourism and Environment
will host a Living Green Fair Thursday, 14 April.

Gates open to the public at 11am at the
Governor’s House lawn.

Cayman Prep’s 2011 Disney Planet Challenge
winners as well as students from Red Bay Primary, John A Cumber and John Gray
High School will make an appearance.

The official welcome will be done at 12.00pm
with speeches from Shomari Scott, acting director of tourism; Governor Duncan
Taylor; and Cline Glidden Jr., ministerial councillor with Responsibility for
Tourism.

At 12.45pm there will be presentations to the
Disney Planet Challenge winners. The event will end at 6pm.

Businesses and organisations, along with the
departments of Tourism and Environment will come together to showcase the range
of environmentally-friendly products, services and programmes available in the
Cayman Islands.

The fair will display the artistic renditions
of green living as interpreted by Caymanian children and the initiatives local
schools have implemented through the Disney Planet Challenge. The 2011 Disney
Planet Challenge winner, Cayman Prep Year 6 class, will present its research
project.

All patrons will discover ways to “green”
their home and office at this worthy event.
