Carne Global Financial Services has appointed Roisin Cater as an independent director for the boards of client funds in the Cayman Islands.
Ms Cater is a Cayman Islands lawyer with an extensive track record in the funds business, after having originally trained with Linklaters London. She was a managing partner with law firm Mourant, a senior associate with Ogier and a senior listing executive with the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Ms Cater was appointed to the board of the CSX in 2007 and is also a member of the listing committee, reviewing and approving listing requests.
John Donohoe, chief executive of Carne Global Financial Services said: “… we are very pleased to be able to recruit somebody of Roisin’s calibre as one of our independent directors. Her legal and regulatory experience in investment funds means she will be a great addition to the boards of those funds she sits on.”
Ms. Cater will work alongside Managing Director Peter Heaps in the Cayman Islands office of Carne, which looks after the fund governance requirements of investment management clients with Cayman Islands structures.
