District meetings on home ownership scheduled

The National Housing Development Trust is hosting a
series of community meetings this month to build awareness of its
home-ownership programmes.

The meetings begin on Monday, 2 May, and run through 12
May. They are being held under the theme Building Quality Communities, One
Affordable
Home at a Time.

Interim Managing Director Janet James said the Trust will
use the meetings to provide the public with information on the home-ownership
options on offer and how to access services.

“We know that many persons will be interested in learning
how to qualify for home loans, so we will guide them on NHDT criteria, as well
as on how the Trust partners with banks to give potential applicants access to
financing.

“We are looking forward to the interaction with the
community because there is much to learn about the programmes we offer,” Ms.
James said.

All
meetings start at 6.30pm. Dates and locations are:

Monday, 2 May – Bodden Town Civic Centre

Wednesday, 4 May – Mary Miller Memorial Hall

Thursday, 5 May – Sir John A. Cumber Primary

Wednesday, 11 May – East End Civic Centre

Thursday, 12 May – Craddock Ebanks Civic Centre
