Rollers still top

As roller hockey skates back into
action after the recent holiday period, plot lines continue to be plentiful.

The Logic arena of Kings Sports
Centre sees a doubleheader for the 2011 Logic Adult Roller Hockey League. All
four clubs in ITS Cayman, High Rollers, Islanders and Legendz Longhornz are
slated to be in action on Tuesday 3 May at 8pm and 9pm.

Eric Mildenberger, Darryl Hather
and the High Rollers continue to be the toast of the league. The frontrunners
went into the Easter period with a thrashing of the defending champion
Islanders and sport the competition’s best offence with over 60 goals scored.

Speaking of the champs, the
Islanders are still within striking distance of the top spot. In spite of the
loss the nucleus of the side remains intact with scorers Pete Holowchuk, Rob
Rintoul and Jean-Louis Beaudet steadied by defenceman Dave Champoux.

The battle for third place features
a pair of intriguing teams in the Legendz Longhorns and ITS Cayman. Legendz
started the year battling the High Rollers for top spot but have slide down the
standings. However captain Brad Galbraith has been a play-maker, Jason Windsor
is scoring at will and veterans like Fareed Hosein have played well alongside
new recruits like Derek Bruce. ITS meanwhile continue to brandish a juggernaut
offence carried by league-leading scorer Mark Missal, long-established
line-mate Chris Moser and captain Jamie Lyon.
