The government of Trinidad and Tobago will host the 41st annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank on 25-26 May.
The board is the bank’s highest policy-making body.
Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will give the opening address, while CDB President Warren Smith, who assumed office on 1 May, will present his first statement to the board in this new capacity.
The governors will participated in two discussion sessions: Recent Financial Sector Crises in the Caribbean: Lessons for the Future and Unlocking Climate Change Finance: Opportunities and Constraints.
A Youth Forum will be held on 26 May, focusing on the topic Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Caribbean Mobile Market.
