Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd has announced the appointment of Doug Cochrane as managing director, succeeding Farried Sulliman, who recently announced his retirement after 38 years, including nearly eight years in Cayman.  

Mr. Cochrane has 34 years of banking experience, including tenure as managing director and country head of Scotiabank in the Turks and Caicos Islands.  

Upon joining Scotiabank in 1977 in Newfoundland, Canada, Mr. Cochrane worked in various assignments across Atlantic Canada until 1996 when he became manager of retail and operations in Barbados. In 2001 he was appointed country head of Scotiabank in St. Kitts, and later joined the Scotiabank team in Mexico as director of Small Business Banking.
