Toastmasters donate books to library

Toastmasters President Gregg Anderson has donated a four-volume set of Toastmasters books written by Ralph Smedley, founder of Toastmasters, to the George Town Public Library.

The set includes a history of the formative years of Toastmasters International; a volume on the history of the organisation from 1960 to 1998; a volume on thoughts and insights regarding many aspects of communication; and a biography of Gen. Henry M. Robert, originator of Robert’s Rules of Order.

“We thought that these books would be beneficial to anyone seeking to satisfy their curiosity about Toastmasters, and the most appropriate location is logically the public library,” Mr. Anderson said.

“I wish to express my sincere thanks to Toastmasters on behalf of their generous donation to the George Town Public Library” said Mrs. K.C. Williams, director of public libraries.
