U15 team licking sixes in Bahamas

A national cricket squad is taking on regional competition this week.

The Cayman Islands national Under-15 team, led by Gregory Davis, is in the Bahamas on a developmental tour. The team is participating in four matches from 20-27 August. Originally Belize was part of this International Cricket Council Americas Region Central division programme but had to withdraw due to visa problems.

The youngsters have been training under the guidance of local youth coach Andy Myles and assisted by Benjamin Maynard. This is another phase of this process as the association continues to follow its strategic plan. Accompanying the team will be Cayman Islands Cricket Association Assistant Secretary Rajpal Hemraj (who will serve as team manager), youth coach Kirkpatrick Clarke and Technical Director Theo Cuffy.

The national team is as follows: Gregory Davis (Captain), Paul Laidlaw (Vice-Captain), Wayne Cato, Reuben Barnes, Hakim Murray, Ajani Anderson, Ajahn Christian, David Lee, Thompson Hew, Casey McLaughlin, Edward Bodden, Nathan Ebanks, Martin Green and Daviel Foster.
