Cayman Music School moves to new location

The Cayman Music School has now moved to its new location at the Grand Pavilion building on the West Bay Road.

Instructor Inna Kazakova explained some of the new features of the school, which opened for registration last week.

“The new facility can easily accommodate 120 children and we have added several new teachers, as well as new courses, including a dance studio for classical ballet and recording studio. There are also eight teachers at the school now, which is up from five instructors last semester,” Ms Kazakova said.

She added that the goal of the school is to provide a comprehensive musical education and develop appreciation of music, in addition to learning music theory. Two students from the Cayman Music School were finalists in the Young Musician of the Year competition this year, with others continuously scoring high marks in external exams.

The school’s new location boasts some 3,000 square feet of space.

Most training for students takes place after their normal school hours between 3pm and 6pm.

“Once classes are over, kids can stay to help with activities or to get help with their homework until someone can pick them up,” Ms Kazakova said. She said adults are also welcome.
