Movers, shakers and moneymakers of the cruise industry are engaged in a high-stakes pow-wow this week.
The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association’s 18th Annual Cruise Conference and Trade Show has brought together all elements of this multi-billion dollar industry for a series of meetings, seminars and interviews involving the private and public sector.
The conference and trade show is being held at San Juan, Puerto Rico and ends on Friday, 7 October and according to association president Michele M. Paige the business sessions, social functions and trade show will ‘provide a superb forum to cruise industry partners for the exchange of information, sharing of ideas and cultivation of valuable business relationships.’
In attendance will be around 1,000 cruise industry partners including around 100 cruise executives. There will be ports, destinations, cruise and tourism agencies, tour operators, attractions, suppliers, ship agents and more.
The keynote address will be given today, 4 October, by Jan Swartz, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer service for Princess Cruises and Cunard Line, and Chair of Cruise Lines International Association’s Marketing Committee.
Some of the discussions on offer include those by specialists in marketing, sourcing, shore excursions and operations. Breakout sessions and preset meetings will also take place throughout the event.
The conference and trade show is being held at San Juan, Puerto Rico.
