Timeshares, fractionals, private residence clubs and mixed-use resort development will be discussed at a major conference this month.
The 13th annual Shared Ownership Investment Conference takes place at the Peabody at Orlando, Florida from 17 to 19 October, during which the current state of the industry will be under review.
Presentations include discussion of capital markets, fractional and private residence clubs, emerging opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean and Timeshare and Fractional Finance.
“Shared ownership has quickly become a hospitality mainstay in the region,” read the conference literature.
“What’s driving growth, who are the consumers and is it complementary to hotel and resort development?”
Other sessions will deal with targeted marketing, legal issues, sales and marketing, management and asset repurposing.
Speakers at the conference include marketing strategist Peter Yesawich and Howard Nusbaum, the president and CEO of American Resort Development Association, alongside the leaders of many other hotel and resort management companies, financial heads and private sector stakeholders. Richard Skerritt, chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Association, will also be speaking on a panel.
