Conference focuses on childhood education

A professional development conference for early childhood care givers will be held later this month at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Building the Wealth of Cayman through Quality Early Childhood Care and Education is the theme of the conference, which will be held 20-22 October.

It is organised and hosted by the Cayman Islands Early Childhood Association.
The weekend will begin with a pre-conference for parents of children birth to eight years of age at 7pm Thursday.

On Friday there will be an interactive music concert for children at 10am at the Cayman Islands Baptist Church on Pedro Castle Road in Savannah. At 7pm Friday there will be an official launching of the conference with a reception.

On Saturday there will be a full professional development conference program from 8am to 4pm for all practitioners, caregivers, teachers, operators and administrators of early childhood care and education facilities on Grand Cayman.

Participants will also be able to choose two additional workshop sessions on a variety of topics of interest during the course of the day. Breakfast and lunch are included in the day’s activity.

During the course of the three days there will be vendor displays by businesses and organisations that provide goods and services for young children, families and schools in cayman.
