Members of a community service organisation took it upon themselves to spread a little Halloween cheer to children at a Grand Cayman foster home.
On Saturday, 30 October, members of the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman, dressed in their friendliest Halloween costumes, visited children at Miss Nadine’s Foster Home, a National Council of Voluntary Organisations facility.
Rotaractors spent time sharing Halloween treats, while the children – ages 5 to 16 – appreciatively accepted homemade sweets and candied apples.
“It is always a great privilege to come to the NCVO and chat with the kids, most of the time we Rotaractors feel we get more out of the experience than the kids do,” said Andrea Balderamos, community service director for the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman. “They are truly inspiring.”
The Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman holds an annual barbecue with the NVCO foster home, which will take place next month. The groups also have gone to the Turtle Farm and enjoyed game nights at the foster home.
