Customs officer faces cocaine charge

Offence allegedly occurred in 2010

David Karl Lobo appeared in Summary Court in George Town on Thursday charged with being concerned in the exportation of more than two pounds of cocaine.

Crown Counsel Jenesha Simpson told Magistrate Nova Hall that Lobo, 26, is a customs officer.

He was charged following an incident at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman on 8 September, 2010.

The magistrate remanded him in custody until Tuesday, 13 December, when the matter was set for mention again.

Lobo was represented by attorney Graham Hampson.
