Victim stabbed at nightclub

Police have determined that the mystery stabbing victim who showed up at the Cayman Islands Hospital early Saturday was wounded at Club 7, a nightclub on West Bay Road in Grand Cayman.

A police statement released Monday morning said: “Police enquiries have revealed that the man, aged 36 years, sustained his injuries around 2am on Saturday within Club 7.”

Club 7 is the site of the former Peppers nightclub.

The man was admitted to the hospital with multiple stab wounds in his torso. His injuries are not life threatening and he is currently recovering in hospital, a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service spokesperson said.

Initially, police were unable to identify the location at which the victim had been stabbed.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in Club 7 around 2am Saturday and who has information that could assist police to call George Town police station on 949-4222, the RCIPS tip-line 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers 800-8477 (TIPS).
