Immigration Department officials have repatriated 19 male migrants, who had arrived on Cayman Brac by boat from Cuba just over two months ago.
The 19 migrants were sent home on Tuesday. Immigration officials said the repatriation procedure followed the usual administrative processes that the department carries out in such situations.
The Cubans had landed on Cayman Brac on Friday, 7 October, 2011. They were one of two groups to arrive on Cayman Brac in the latter part of this year.
Another group that arrived in November is still in the detention centre.
