Christmas gift for hospice

The staff of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands presented a donation to the Cayman HospiceCare to give the facility a boost during the Christmas season.

Every year, the aviation authority donates to local charities.

“It is especially important for us to remember our local charities during the holiday season as we tend to sometimes forget the hard work that they put into serving the community on a daily basis,” said Richard Smith, director-general of CAACI. “I am proud of the CAACI staff for getting together to collect a donation for this very worthy cause.”

Jennifer McCarthy, operations and fundraising manager of Cayman HospiceCare, said, “Cayman HospiceCare is reliant upon the community for financial support and we are all extremely appreciative when an organisation recognises both our needs and our efforts. Each HospiceCare service is completely free to our patients and their families and this donation will help us to ensure we can continue our efforts.”
