The Water Authority Board Members gave a donation of $1,332, the amount required to send one team member of the U19 Select Football Team to compete in the 2012 Mayor’s Cup International in Vegas next month. The board members applaud the team’s effort to improve their skills internationally and proudly represent the Cayman Islands at this international event.

Water Authority Board Member, Pearlina McGaw-Lumsden said: “On behalf of the board and staff of the Water Authority, we are more than excited to make this donation to the U19 Select footballers as we appreciate the importance of sports in our country. We wish the team the very best.”

Team manager Antwan ‘Chico’ Seymour said: “In a time where young men are expected to rise and shine to become men, our community tends to not always give or lend the helping hand that is needed. I’m proud to say that the Water Authority has always stood by our young children in supporting them in ways that they could. With this donation I want to thank them again on behalf of the Cayman Islands U19 Select Football Team for continuing to support the youth of Cayman.”
