Cayman’s junior volleyball scene is about to get a boost.
The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation will be staging a youth volleyball clinic next week. Sponsored by Domino’s Pizza, the session is aimed at youngsters, like April Ebanks, aged 10-18.
The University College of the Cayman Islands multipurpose hall stages the clinic 22-25 February. Wednesday’s session takes place 10am-4pm, Thursday runs 8:30am-2:30pm, Friday goes 8:30am-5pm (kids will be transported to the beach for 2:30pm) and Saturday runs 9am-12pm. The sessions are free.
Leading the instruction will be noted regional instructor Juan Cartagena of the North, Central American and Caribbean Confederation and the International Volleyball Federation. Cayman’s junior national coach Andrea Williams and assistant coach Davison Ruwende will also be present.
