The Health Services Authority is launching a new volunteer programme that calls on the public to offer its services to help patients.
Lizzette Yearwood, chief executive officer of the Health Services Authority, which runs the Cayman Islands Hospital and local district clinics, said: “The HSA is seeking individuals interested in volunteering their time for the greater good. If you are a caring, compassionate person with a desire for helping others, why not seize this opportunity to make a positive contribution? Those who participate will be making a positive impact in the lives of patients and visitors and the community at large.”
In addition to helping the community, volunteers will learn about health care careers and be an integral part of the HSA’s team, fulfilling the mission of providing highest quality health care, Ms Yearwood said.
The programme is open to anyone ages 16 and older.
Anyone interested in joining the volunteer programme should call 244-2604 for more information or email [email protected]
