Island All-Stars remain in the hunt for local dominoes glory.
The side had an impressive 71-point victory over Eastern Star in the Cayman Islands Domino Association 2012 national domino league. The contest took place last Sunday, 19 February.
Guiding All-Stars to victory were Carlos Whittaker and Dwight Moss. The star players for Eastern Star were Jeff Welcome and Curtis Welcome. With the win, All-Stars and their veteran cast (featuring the likes of Marcia Myles and Oleta Elliott) stay within striking distance of East End Mystical Youth atop the standings.
All-Stars got some added help as powerhouse Archies lost by eight points to Sea Inn. The stars for Sea Inn were Andre Christie and Ena Carter while Archies, who feature talents like John Jobson, stated it was a team effort.
League matches continue this Sunday, 26 February, in East End and West Bay.
Top-ranked East End Mystical host Singh’s Roti Shop while Kelly’s International host Archies.
