Organisers of Pirates Week have announced that the 2012 event will run from 8th to 18th November. The theme will be Historic Shipwrecks and Pirate Treasure, explains Pat Bazell-Taylor.
“Following the successful Galaparilla promotion in Tampa in January, which was put on by the Pirates Week in conjunction with the Department of Tourism and industry partners Cayman Airways and CITA, Cayman is expecting an influx of pirates Krewes coming for Pirates Week.
“In fact a charter is already booked and over 100 rooms have been reserved in one hotel. It’s because of all these visiting pirates that we have gone with a theme that will attract them and at the same time give Cayman a chance to portray some of its Heritage,” she reveals.

The theme will be Historic Shipwrecks and Pirate Treasure.
