The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central has honoured Phyllis Moxam and Bergman Ebanks with a certificate of appreciation and $500 apiece for their work to make their respective workplace environments and the community at large better places.
In October, all Rotarians were asked to submit their nominations, along with reasons why they thought their nominee was worthy of such an award. After receiving a number of nominations, Ms. Moxam and Mr. Ebanks were selected to be recognised.
Ms. Moxam is employed by Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits. Mr. Ebanks owns Caribbean Bakery.
Every year, the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central looks to identify individuals who: adhere to and promote the highest ethical standards in all occupations; recognise the value of all useful occupations; and contribute one’s vocational talents to meet the needs of the community.
“We are pleased that we could show our club’s appreciation to Ms. Moxam and Mr. Ebanks for all that they have done and continue to do within their chosen vocation,” said Rotarian Eddie Thompson, chairman of vocational awards.
