The A-Level programme at Cayman Prep and High School is expanding again with the introduction of Psychology at the AS and A2 levels, following another year of successes in external examinations and increasing student numbers.
“We are always looking at ways in which to improve opportunities for students before they head off to university. There is always interest in psychology from students, so we have taken the step to bring the subject on board starting in September,” said Mr. Brendan Touchey, head of Sixth Form.
The new psychology course means Cayman Prep offers 20 different A-Level subjects, which presents students variety in subject choices and allows them access to a wider range of undergraduate degree options.
Cayman Prep and High School has about 90 students in the A-Level programme. The school recently opened the new Rawlinson and Hunter Sixth Form and Career Centre.
The school is also an examination centre for Cambridge International Examinations.
