Kids set to tackle Camana Bay

Youth flag football is about to launch into regular season play.

Matches in The Security Centre Youth Flag Football League are slated to take place this Saturday, 17 March, at the Camana Bay sports field. From 11am until 12noon is the senior (age 14 and above) division, the middle division (for ages 10-13) is 12noon until 2pm with the junior division (ages 7-9) running 2-3pm.

The opening weekends were a chance for registration and a skills assessment. So far over 200 kids have signed up this year. There are limited
spaces left in all of the divisions.

Volunteer response has been good with many parents looking to help out in addition to the resident adult flag football stars.

League organizers are pleased to welcome back almost all of the corporate supporters from last year. Starting with title sponsor The Security Centre, there are a number of team sponsors in: Al La Kebab, Broadhurst LLC, Burger King, Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital, Dart Cayman Islands, Maples, Strategic Risk Solutions, Walkers and Zulu Distributors. There is also a new sponsor in Popeyes.

Those sponsors, along with the Cayman Islands Flag Football Association, make this league possible.

The public is encouraged to stop by Camana Bay on Saturdays for league matches. For more information, e-mail [email protected]
