Sweet like chocolate

Now Weekender likes chocolate … and Weekender likes Soca.

But which is better?
There’s only one way to find out…

Not really

Actually, don’t fight. For we can have both of these wondrous things, concurrently, at the same time, in harmony and in heft. Do you know why? We do. It’s because the Mocha and Soca fete takes place from 8pm on Friday, 30 March at the hotspot of Jacques Scott parking lot, Thomas Russell Avenue (beside Crewe Road Esso). Reet bo!

Opening ritual

We’re also told that Mocha & Soca is Cayman’s Official Carnival Chocolate Fete. It’s an opening ritual enacted to the accompaniment of chocolate, oil, water and drinks in which patrons will have the opportunity to experience one of Cayman’s most exotic events.

Given that this is the third year it’s been held, there’s more than a grain of truth in all that blurb.

Music is provided by Music by Selecta Renegade, DJ Silver Fox from Trinidad, DJ Vybez and La Familia.

Our work here is done. We’re off to get qualified as bald doctors/Craig David impersonators.
