The Cayman Academy Home School Association is inviting the church community to participate in a fun run next week to help good causes.
The sponsored fun run is on Sunday 29 April at 3.30pm. The fancy dress run/walk is for all ages from the school, churches and in the community. It will benefit the local charities, the Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign and Health Services Authority Diabetes Support Group as well as school projects.
Prizes will include best fancy dress costume and as well as a prize for the church with the most participation. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for non-Cayman Academy students. Cayman Academy students themselves will be collecting sponsors, hence will not need to pay a registration fee.
Fun races and activities will also be held on the day for younger children. These will include toddler and baby races, a bouncy castle and face painting on the school grounds. Races will be set for different abilities from half a mile to a full 5k course so everyone can be a part of this family day.
Participants can register at the school or at the conference office. But we are also asking if the education secretaries and HSA executive members assist with promoting and collecting registration fees.
Angeline Shillingford is one of the organisers. She sadi: “We look forward to churches embracing this opportunity to have a fun filled day, win prizes and keep fit. So please promote via your Pathfinder and Adventurer clubs, Sabbath School, Youth Department and general church population.
