Elite edge ahead in Prem race

Elite pulled away from Scholars International in the race for the Premier League title and look poised to retain their title with only two games remaining.

Elite beat Future 5-1 whereas their West Bay rivals could only draw 1-1 with Bodden Town.

Elite’s scorers at the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay were Marvin Boothe (28th minute), Dwayne Wright (33), Alex Belcher (38), Hank Parchment (47) and Gabriel Godet (69). It was Wright’s 19th of the season, keeping him ahead of Bodden Town’s Yefry Calderon

Future look doomed for relegation.

They need to win their last two games to have a fighting chance of staying up. Denver Barnes (37) got their goal.

Kareem James (50) fired Bodden Town’s goal before Nahun Rodriguez equalised for Scholars 10 minutes later at Ed Bush.

It is a two-horse race now as third placed Bodden Town are six points behind Scholars who are on 42 points.

Elite are on 44 points with a much better goal difference than Scholars.

Roma United are the second from bottom side. They did themselves no favours in losing 3-1 to Tigers at the TE McField Annex. Tigers scorers were Miguel Simms (12), (63) and Jesus Torres (69). Cesar Forbes hit Roma’s goal in the 41st minute.
