A dog, they say, is a man’s best friend. You could meet your next best friend – and even take it home to live with you – this Saturday, at the Humane Society’s Road Show at Camana Bay.
The folks at the animal shelter will take some of their canine charges to the Paseo between 10am and 2pm so that members of the public can meet them and find out all about the different ways they can lend a hand with not only the dogs, but also the cats who are all in need of loving homes – or even just a walk.
The Humane Society is providing food and shelter for many of the abandoned, homeless and sometimes poorly cats and dogs on the Island, all of whom ideally need a permanent home.
However, even if you can’t take on a pet permanently, there are numerous ways you can brighten up their lives in small ways. Learn all about the different options at the roadshow. If you have a little spare time, dog walkers are always needed.
Alternately both dogs and cats can be taken away for a sleepover, or fostered while they recuperate from operations or sickness.
Make your way to Camana Bay on Saturday to see how you can make a difference.
