Batabano will be held this weekend in Grand Cayman and will lead to a number of road closures over the next two days.
Friday
Cardinall Avenue and Albert Panton St will be closed from 6pm Friday and will open Saturday morning.
Saturday
The following road/junction closures will be in place from 12.30pm until approximately 6pm
Shedden Rd. – Mary St.
Boilers Rd. – South Church St.
Dr. Roys Dr. – Edward St.
Goring Ave. – Cayman Camera
Warwick Dr. – South Church St.
Fort St. – Clocktower.
West Bay Rd. – south of Lawrence Blvd.
Westbound lane of Lawrence Blvd.
Eastern Ave. – West Bay Rd.
Bodden Rd. – North Church St.
Mary St. – Fort St.
Mary St. – North Church St.
Motorists are advised to use the Esterley Tibbetts bypass and avoid the West Bay Road south of Galleria roundabout.
The roads will re-open when the parade has concluded.
In addition, Cardinall Avenue and Albert Panton St. will be closed off from 6pm until midnight.
