“It’s a tremendous honour. I feel humbled to receive the award,” said Mr. Arch, shortly after accepting the award during Saturday night’s ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
“I want to use YCLA as a platform to reach out to as many of the young people in this country as I can,” he said.
Mr. Arch is the general manager of National Concrete and founder of Arch Engineering. He will follow in his father’s footsteps as managing director of Arch and Godfrey.
In addition to Mr. Arch, the other nominees were Dara Flowers Burke, Casandra Morris, Orchid Morrison and Samantha Widmer.
Mr. Arch is chairman of the Children and Youth Services Foundation Board, Trade and Business Licensing Board, and Planning Committee for the Governor’s Award for Design and Construction Excellence. He is immediate past-president of the Cayman Society of Architects, Surveyors and Engineers, and a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise and First Baptist Church.
Mr. Arch has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and is working toward a doctoral degree in engineering.
