Cayman has a new crew of volleyball coaches.
The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation honoured four residents for their participation in a recent coaching clinic backed by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation and the International Volleyball Federation Regional Development Volleyball Centre in the Dominican Republic.
Jennifer Bily, Damion Martin, Joel Scott and Woodley Scott went through a level one technical coaches seminar at the University College of the Cayman Islands multipurpose hall. The group were taught by NORCECA instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico, who came to Cayman back in February to help develop a national volleyball policy.
Bily and company were honoured at this month’s annual general meeting, which saw Noel Williams reelected as federation president. In fact, the rest of the executive board remained in place. Among the notable board members are Kennedy McGowan as vice president, Keith Higgins as technical director and Carl Brown as public relations officer.
