Caymanian attorney called to bar

Chantal Whittaker has been admitted to the Cayman Islands Grand Court after successfully completing her articles of clerkship with Mourant Ozannes.  

Now an associate in the litigation team with the firm, Ms Whittaker obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Liverpool before completing her post graduate diploma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Trent University. She also holds a bachelor of science in finance and accounting from the University of Tampa. 

Chantal Whittaker is an honorary member of the Cayman Islands Bar Association and was a finalist in the Young Caymanian Leadership Award last year.

  1. I fail to understand why you find it necessary to headline the nationality as Caymanian of a story item, as in this case.

    Would the Daily Gleaner announce Jamaican attorney called to the bar?

    You do this in other instances as well.
