Arrest made in WB store robbery

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and is in police custody following a robbery at a West Bay convenience store Tuesday.

At 11.47am Tuesday, police received a report that an lone gunman had entered the Hills Grocery and More store on Stadium Drive, West Bay. The man was armed with what appeared to be a handgun.

Police said he threatened staff before making off from the premises with a small sum of cash. The suspect, who was described as being dressed all in black, was last seen running towards the Ed Bush Stadium.

Police officers made their way to the area and a short time later a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
