Appleby has announced Bryan Hunter as new office managing partner in the Cayman Islands.
The head of the corporate and commercial practice in Cayman will become office managing partner on 1 October. He will succeed Huw Moses, who will be retiring as a partner of the Appleby Group effective 1 April, 2013. Mr. Moses has held the role of office managing partner for Cayman since 2003.
Mr. Hunter has been a partner at Appleby since 2002 and also heads the Funds and Investment Services Team in Cayman.
In preparation for his retirement from the Appleby Group, Mr. Moses will be standing down as office managing partner of Appleby (Cayman) Ltd and chairman of Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd on 30 September. Until then, Mr. Hunter will serve as Cayman office managing partner elect.
From 1 October, Mr. Moses will be focusing on managing the Appleby Group IP practice, which will continue to trade under a licence from the Appleby Group as Appleby Intellectual Property Services Ltd.
