Cayman National Bank are supporting the Cayman Islands Golf Association as they prepare for the 56th annual RBC Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships.
A well-appreciated monetary contribution was presented to the golf association, along with Cayman National hats and water bottles for each player who participates. The tournament kicks off 5 August and consists of a series of practice rounds and tournament play that will conclude on 11 August.
This year, the Championships are being held at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club in St. Kitts, where 14 of Cayman’s top golfers will participate in five categories.
The teams is as follows: on the Men’s Open team are Jason Lovelock, Adam Nashed, Jason Perras, Philip Wight and Paul Woodhouse. On the Women’s Open Team are Emily Ribbins, Isabel Lawson and Samantha Widmer. Members of the Men-Mid Amateur team are Joel Dodson and Michael Wight. Playing on the Men’s Senior team are Eustace Jeffers and Tracy Moore. Rounding out the field of players are Andy Newton and Richard Jones on the Men’s Super Senior team.
Jason Perras, the golf association president and a member of the men’s team, had this to say about Cayman National’s support, “The association and the golf team are ecstatic with the support Cayman National has provided this year and in previous years as Cayman National was the title sponsor in 2011 for the Cayman Islands Amateur Championships.
“Our organization is reliant on donations and memberships to fund all of our services and we appreciate Cayman National providing financial support to the association.”
