By Rite return to supreme form

By Rite Cricket Club has been recognised as the most successful cricket club in Cayman’s history.

With the passage of time and many of their stalwarts giving up the game, By Rite went through a transitional period with many promises but no trophies to show.

But this year has seen a revival of the By Rite spirit and enthusiasm. Lead by the charismatic national all-rounder Conroy Wright, By Rite have won all matches played to date.

The team has some brilliant performances from Wright, Ainsley Hall, Omar Willis, Jalon Linton, Gregory Smith and Troy Taylor. It looks like 2012 is a turning point in By Rite’s legacy.

Star studded Greenies 1 lead by the stylish Chris Palmer seem to be the only team standing in the way of the By Rite avalanche. Coming off an excellent win last weekend over Esso Tigers, Greenies 1 like By Rite have had their season hampered by the increasing rainfall but hopefully this weekend the sun will shine.

It’s the big one this weekend as Greenies 1 clash with By Rite on Sunday at the Smith Road Oval at 10.30am.
