Human resources professionals honoured
International experts in human resources management lead a free, one-day conference at the offices of the Chamber of Commerce on Monday, during which local human resources professionals will be honoured.
Speakers at the conference include Professor Charlotte Rayner, an international expert in workplace bullying who advises governments, trade unions and human resources professionals; Liza Howe-Walsh, an expert in international human resources management and leadership; and Gary Rees, a leading expert in change management and human resources. All three are from Portsmouth Business School, one of the largest business schools in the United Kingdom.
In addition, Cayman Islands-based students who successfully completed their Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Professional Certificate in Human Resource Practice will be honoured during the conference. The University of Portsmouth has been a gateway for those professional certificates in the Cayman Islands for many years.
Cayman Islands Society of Human Resources Professionals President Samantha Nehra praised the event.
“CISHRP is committed to assisting its members and the wider community in engaging in continuous professional development, both locally and internationally,” she said. “The University of Portsmouth’s CIPD accredited programmes offer a wide range of options and we are excited to be able to connect our membership to this opportunity.”
The conference starts at 1pm and is expected to last until 6pm. To find out more about the event, or to register, contact Graham Wood at 925-0277.
