I know by now all on Cayman should feel the lull that is all over these Islands with little money being floated around and bills rising.
We cannot but wonder ho the Caymanian family will keep up. Instead of pay raises, we hear of pay cuts. Then we still have higher work permit fees in what is looked at as special areas.
Think; if you are not making the money, are you going to pay these higher permit fees? Perhaps many people might just look for some other country to go to with arms to take their company in. We cannot expect to make permit fees a great part of our budget.
Our future government needs to put in place very good plans to generate money for these Islands a lot better than they have in the past. This is the Cayman Islands and we can do that and make life better for all on Cayman and stop the foolish waste of the people’s money.
We cannot afford to hire people from the outside world to come to our Islands to tell us what to do for parrots and pay them this big pile of money.
These are our Islands. We know what to do about all that is on it, around it and under it.
Cut the bad ideas out that are taking us down. Hire more real Caymanian consultants and advisers and pay them the money that government now pays to outsiders to come here and give them these services. We as Caymanians must start to take better care of what we have, for if we look around, people that are not Caymanian are trying their best to ship all they can from Cayman to their homeland.
Caymanians, stop standing on the sideline and watching our beautiful Cayman being messed up by even our own people. Elections are coming very soon again and the future of our Islands will hang in the balance.
For our future to be better, in all ways, we must be very wise with the choice of leadership. We must be very wise when it comes to these, our island homes, in all that goes on here in our government and all other areas that effect the lives of the people and your international human rights in the year 2013. We must try not just to elect new leadership, but we must also try to come together as Caymanians not just to vote, but to unite; Bodden Town, George Town, East End, West Bay, North Side, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman and all the rest of the people on our Islands, for a special renewing of our long lost family, native, and outsider friendships of love, unit and respect to place these Islands in a positive feeling of upliftment for the future of our beloved Cayman Islands.
And please fly the people over from the other two islands, or go get them that want to come by boat. We must take the great ship Cayman and all on her to a better life than we have now. But do not expect to do any of this unless you put Almighty God first.
So tear down the divide and embrace love, respect and unity.
