Bodden Town keeper Ramon Sealy is having an exceptional start at the University of West Florida, having won the Defender of the Week title for the third consecutive time.
Sealy, 21, earned his third consecutive Gulf South Conference Defender of the Week award for his effort in the 1-1 draw at Union of Tennessee in double overtime last Friday.
Sealy recorded a career-high nine saves in the game, blocked a penalty and held the Bulldogs to that single goal in 110 minutes of play.
He is the only player to earn the award this season. His first came at the start of the month after holding then-ranked No. 25 Saint Leo to one goal and recording six saves. Last week, he earned it after holding No. 17 Rollins to one goal in 45 minutes of play and holding Florida Southern to one goal in 90 minutes.
Sealy is second in the conference with a 1.07 goals against average, second with a .810 save percentage and third with 17 saves on the season. He is second with 4.25 saves per game.
Last season, Sealy earned the award for the first time a year ago.
