We will pool together to get slim

The Attic Sports Lounge and the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman is hosting the Pool for School charity pool tournament this weekend.

This event is a fundraiser to purchase sports equipment for the youth sports programmes through the Department of Sports to help counter childhood obesity.

“Our children need every possible opportunity to be physically active, gone are the days when they just go out and play,” said Collin Anglin, director in the Department of Sports. wil

“As a community service club for young professionals Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman has a mandate to promote being active and healthy, we also believe the youth are our most influential members of society.

“What better way to achieve a healthy household than through our children,” said Janelle Langlois, Community Service Director of the Rotaract Club. “We would like to thank The Attic Sports Lounge and Sport Supply for supporting this evening of friends, fellowship and fun.”

Pool for School is a three person team pool tournament, registration is at The Attic Sports Lounge or email [email protected] and costs $75 per team.

The event runs from 6pm on Saturday 13 October at The Attic Sports Lounge on West Bay Road and there are great prizes on offer.

Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman meets every Thursday morning, 7am at Black Trumpet, on the Paseo in Camana Bay.
