Caymanian in
Caribbean pageant

Mahalia Seymour, 18, will be representing the Cayman Islands at the Miss Caribbean Hibiscus Pageant on 8 December.

The beauty contest brings together contestants from the Caribbean, as well as South and Central America to compete in the following categories: national dress, presentation speech, swimwear and formal wear.

Mahalia is no stranger to the beauty pageant scene, after having been crowned Miss George Town in 2010. She departed for St. Martin, the home base for the contest, last week and will be competing against 19 other contestants for the regional title.

Mahalia’s makeup has been sponsored by Kirk Freeport, while Miss Lana Cayaso lent wardrobe assistance and Mahalia’s footwear has been sponsored by Le Classique.
