PwC set up juniors again

The second in the series of PricewaterhouseCoopers Junior Circuit tennis tournaments is on this weekend at The Courts at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Islands’ most competitive players will be participating on Saturday and Sunday, earning national ranking points and hoping to walk away as age group winners.

At the moment, the following players are leading their respective age categories: Harrison Clough, 10 & Under; Bobby Lomax, 12 & Under; Matteo Polloni, 14 & Under; and Daniel Reid, 16 & Under.

For younger players who want to learn additional tennis skills, the first of the 2013 Cayman National Tennis Tens programme events is scheduled for Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5pm at East End Primary School. The event is hosted by Cayman Tennis Academy.

The programme is open to children of all abilities, ages 10 and under.

The events take place at different locations across Grand Cayman throughout the year.

There is no registration, all events are free and equipment is provided. It is advisable to take drinking water.

Event times are 3 to 4pm for ages 7 and under; and 4 to 5pm for ages 7 to 10. For more information, check on the Facebook page for the Tennis Federation of the Cayman Islands.
